NDMO Data Management & Personal Data Protection Standards

Data Protection

Embracing the Vision 2030 initiative, Saudi Arabia is at the forefront of transformation and innovation. As the Kingdom paves the way for a prosperous and diversified future, the protection of personal data has become an integral part of this journey. The National Data Management Office (NDMO) Framework plays a vital role in aligning data management practices with the Vision 2030 goals, ensuring that organisations prioritise data privacy, security, and compliance.

NDMO Data Management Guiding Principles

The NDMO framework is designed to govern the collection, processing, storage, and transfer of personal data by both public and private organisations within KSA. This framework encompasses all individuals and entities involved in collecting, processing, storing, or transferring personal data in KSA. The standards encompass controls and specifications across 15 Domains outlined in the framework, which cover the entire data lifecycle, including creation, storage, movement, usage, and deletion.
